As a side note, one of the most important parts of a restoration is the Bronco acquisition cost. As desirable as Bronco's are, DON'T OVERPAY for yours. Every $1 you overpay is $1 less you have to restore. What you see asked for on ebay is rarely what they sell for. You don't want to overpay your friend, but you don't want to screw them over either. Look in this section to see what Bronco owners are selling theirs for and their condition:

Here for public (ebay, craigslist, etc) and note the scams:

Go to auction sites like Russo and Steel and search for Broncos to see what they sold for (the prices listed include the auction fee so multiply by .92 I believe):

Then look at some of these to see what members are faced with when restoring to give you an idea what's involved:

Then here to give you an idea what used parts cost compared to what the vendors sell them for:

This forum is fantastic and the people are great. I'm still restoring mine and I couldn't have done 1/3 of what I've done (myself to save money and as a hobby) without the members here. Keep us posted on what you do!

Like everyone else has said. Just going to add if you are looking for a project and not in a hurry, it makes the cost less painful. Spread over a few years makes it much easier to do for a guy without a huge wallet. If you have some mechanical abilities and patience you can wind up with a really nice Bronco. Ken... Oh yeah, and some skillful friends helps too.

Another thing is location. If you're out here in so cal you're gonna pay twice what it's worth. Better off finding one you like out of state and shipping it. You can usually get some guys on here to go check it out for you.

This is about the easiest way to sum it up! Get some photos, spend $12 and upload them on the site! Then we can give you a better idea of what you might spend!
