Hi, ok, I'm wanting to wire my brake light warning switch. You can see which valve I have with one wire coming off of it. I have the later model ignition switch, but the terminal on the ignition switch which goes to the brake light isn't hot. Using a test light, I get no voltage to it unless it's a small voltage? If I can't get it working, I guess I could use it as a parking brake light:(

The brake warning light comes on when the wire to it is grounded. It is temporarily grounded when the ignition switch is turned to start, and is grounded when the switch in the brake valve is activated. It is easy to also use it as a parking brake warning light by adding a grounding switch to the parking brake, and running the wire back to the brake warning light terminal on the ignition switch. Then it will activate when the key is turned to start, or the parking brake is activated and the ignition is on.
Test your ignition switch to make sure the terminal is grounded when the key is turned to start. I have had several that were bad. Power routes thru the light, thru the brake valve switch connection, and to the ignition switch where it grounds when the key is at start. If the brake valve switch is activated, it grounds at the brake valve switch.
