Very sorry for the lack of updates , we have been extremely busy at the shop lately!

Never fear, we are back on the Ginger project and very motivated to get it done and hear this thing make some noise!

Here are some pictures of the center console which I flush mounted some LED illuminated switches. From driver side to passenger side they are as follows...

1. Trans shift up button
2. Trans shift down button
3. Trans manual shift on/off
4. Trans overdrive on/off
5. Trans "Extreme" on/off (changes shift points and firmness for racing)

I also installed the sound mat and the new painted roll cage for the final time.

More updates to come!

Fantastic project.

Any reason not to epoxy a magnet in each pumpkin? Ideally you would use a magnetic drain plug, but a simple magnet may hold as much metal out of the recycling oil as possible. When the time comes to pull the 9"ers you will be cleaning it out at that time anyway.

Sure a magnetic drain plug would be nice, but drain plugs have to be down pretty low. On a differential, a low drain plug could get scraped up or damaged off road. These most likely aren't going to be high mileage diffs, so I think they'll be fine.

Here's some more pics of the chassis final assembly.

So a few weeks ago, we took the truck out for its first test drive. The truck has so much power, the rear axle wrapped the springs way more than we thought it would. We also wanted to redesign the rear bump stops and relocate them from under the frame to outside the frame. The truck was also in need of a sway bar to keep body roll under control.

I cut off the back half of the rear shock hoops and fabricated in a sleeve for the King 2.0" air bumps.

For the axle wrap issue, I started with a 9" pinion guard and modified it to fit on top of the Hi9 third member. The frame mount is made of 1.5" .120 wall tubing and 1/4" plate. The axle link is made of 1.25" .120 wall tubing with 3/4" heim joints.

We got to see this thing real time at our Bronco meet last Saturday at the Bronco Hut. It is quite awesome! My only question is why you used such tiny tabs to connect that brace to the top of the pumpkin? Looks like 1/8"?

It's sounds crazy mean!

I like hydro boost brakes, no matter how radical the engine ,you don't have to worry about vacuum.

This truck was a pleasure to build, it has oodles of power, drives awesome and looks great doing it. Hopefully we will be able to get some videos of it in the dirt soon!!
