Post up any pictures you have, would also like to see a video of a ZF Bronco rowing thru the gears. I'm about halfway thru my swap and want to see shifter set ups, and if you have an NP 205 I'd like to see what you did for a cross member. I've gone thru most of the threads thru search but they're all kind of old and some of the pictures dont work. Looking forward to seeing some pictures!

Mine is in process as well, but I will be going back in with the Dana 20. Most likely will take me another month to get it all put back together.

I'm even earlier in the process than either of you, but I too have decided to keep the Dana 20.

I did think about the NP205 because of it bolting up and it's sheer strength, but 1.96 low range versus 2.46 low range in a Dana 20 I already have made the decision.

Loved my ZF. 35' tires and 4.56 gears and it would cruise down the road at 75 no problem and crawl too. I had a custom cross member built and removed the air box on the drivers side and mounted the master cylinder there with a bracket off the clutch peddle. I liked the looks of the ZF shifter so I kept it and made a little bracket to place it where I liked it.

I've since swapped it out for a 4R70W but if I had to go manual again, I kept the ZF and all the parts just in case.

Did I miss somewhere that DS air box has to be deleted to install clutch MC with ZF conversion?

No, that is just how I happened to do it. I think you can squeeze the M/C in next to the brake booster.

I like my ZF also. It's a truck transmission and it's a little hard to shift it like a race truck, but mine has been shifted pretty fast before!;D My 'Patches' Bronco has one and a stainless shifter with the hand throttle cable running inside the shifter.

My ZF is still in the garage. But I think I am gonna get to it this weekend. I need to move it out for space. I have a C6 with a driveshaft brake on it and a Chevy 454 waiting in the driveway for a place to go.

I have had a ZF in my Bronco since 1998. Still love it. I run a 203/D20 for my T case. 4;56 gears and 35" tires. Crawls awesome, cruises at 75 and has been over 100 on the open road.

Zf pics

Here are a couple pics of my zf when I put my bronco together I used the advanced adapter and the dana 20 It's great on the highway. I run 4.10 gears and 33" tires I made my own crossmember by cutting down one from an f250 with an auto trans and welding on new ends

Here are a few pictures of my ZF swap. I am running the Dana 20 case with the BC Broncos cross member and a JB Fab shifter. The swap is one of the best mods I have done, so much easier to shift.

Sorry cant figure out how to rotate them.

Took me a while to find one, scored it for 130 at a u pull yard. Great pics so far, I like the jbfab shifters. I'm planning on running those as well

I've started my swap as well (from a 3 SPD). Hoping to have it finished by the end of this month. Pics up to this point. I was also going to use the NP205 but when I mocked it up, it wouldn't clock right without hitting my frame. I've since decided to use my D20 with an adapter.
