Working on the valve body in a C4 the screw that holds the manual detent spring to the valve body stripped. I was able to use a longer screw to access the lower threads in the hole and it's holding and everything seems to be working as it should, but I'm not sure if I can trust it. Any ideas other than replacing the valve body? Also, does this spring require any additional alignment or adjusting? The way it's made it seems like it can only go in one way.

C4 Valve Body Stripped Hole

Working on the valve body in a C4 the screw that holds the manual detent spring to the valve body stripped. I was able to use a longer screw to access the lower threads in the hole and it's holding and everything seems to be working as it should, but I'm not sure if I can trust it. Any ideas other than replacing the valve body? Also, does this spring require any additional alignment or adjusting? The way it's made it seems like it can only go in one way.

helicoil is on one of mine, still is i suppose, that or find a valve body, very hard to find...
