Can I swap out a 3 speed RAN with an RAT tranny

Is there any problem with swapping out a stock RAN 3speed manual tranny with the stock RAT 3 speed or vice versa? What if any differences are there? How can I verify the difference in a RAT and RAN anyway?

The lengths are slighly different. If you swap the trans, get the intermediate housing that goes with it. I forget exactly, its about 1/2" or 3/4" different length.

RAN or RAT is on the ID tag on the side of the case.

Andy, I may have a few 3 speed with adapters here if you need one. I know I have the one out of the Duck.
