Clutch "Whooosh"

My clutch has started making a strange sound. When the clutch pedal is depressed the clutch makes an audible "whoooshing" sound. The transmission shifts freely and smoothly between the gears, and there is no chatter.

I'm running the original 302 mated to the 3spd column.

Am I making a mountain out of a molehill? Or is something up?

It sounds like the pilot bearing or throwout bearing is wearing out.

x2 - throwout would be my guess, had the same issue a couple years ago. I'd get it swapped before it causes issues with the fingers on your pressure plate (broke one of mine).

Thanks guys. I'll drop it by the shop tomorrow and have them take a look. I'll post back with the verdict.
