Ok, so no new photos yet but LAL Customs should be shipping back to me in July. Once back I’ll post a bunch of photos. I’ve got 100% of the costs organized so at the end of this, before September. I’ll have answered at least the cost for one route to build an EB from scratch.

Did I miss something? I just stumbled across this and was seriously considering this route. Dying to know how it has progressed

Still in progress getting ready to start engine next. Still looking in the 80’s but to be honest haven’t tabulated all the expenses right now. Will do that soon as not much money left to spend at this point.

Things left;
1. Fluids
2. ProFlo electronics install
3. Hoses on power steering
4. 1/2 of exhaust left to install (Duff’s 2 into 1 with magnaflo)
5. Electrical wiring Painless (dash basically wired now but not in the truck)
6. Seats bolted into interior.
7. Dynamat and carpet
8. BC Broncos soft top
9. Driveshafts
10. Drive the crap out of it!

Should have engine running this weekend, hope to be driving by years end. Will be titled as a 1971 bronco, thanks to a glovebox VIN.

Price Update
Kincer $6,500 (frame, x member and roll cage)
LAL $32,000 Body, paint, raptor line, door assembly, run fuel brake lines, install fuel tank put body on rolling chassis built by us.)
WHS $18,00 A ton of stuff
Toms $4,700
BC Broncos $1,800 Soft top
Blueprint $4,500 Engine
Advance Adapters $1,700 Trans
Duff $1,200 Exhaust
Amazon $2,500 Stuff
O’Reillys $1,500 More stuf
Edelbrock Pro Flo 4 $1,800
So $77k at this point. Shipping is not included but under $5k. I will have that, this does include tax.
$82k. What is left to buy now? Honestly, driveshafts. Oh, and add wheels and tires for $1,600 (i didn’t go crazy.)
$83,500
Doing all this with stuff I’m sure I’m missing high 80s or low 90s. This is a very loaded truck, nothing really spared. (Sure not Coyote or hand massaged Swedish leather seats, but everything else is high end.) for those looking to save big expenses, having a pro do the body and paint added cost, I wouldn’t do it any other way for sanity or resale. And no used parts at all.

If I get organized I may post all the individual items but honestly that seems tedious and not worth the details. For reference billet stuff all around, went old school on guage cluster as I like it and the Proflo gives me other data electronically.

Thanks for posting and sharing the information. Most of us like to lie about how much we spend, so it's nice to see some honest accounting!

I can hide behind my user name here! Anybody at home asks it’s in the 80s. Not mentioning a 9! Symbolic difference. Keep telling my dad its cheaper than his Tesla.

I think most of us that own Bronco's are Familiar with the term "Creative spending", as in it never costs as much as it does... ;)

You will be looking at a parts spend of about $65K for that build less your labor or anything you may have to sub out. When you start putting the fine details together, electrical, switch bezels, trim etc. you will see 10K fly by so fast it will make your head spin. Your KE chassis, axles etc. could start out at 2K for the base chassis but you could multiply that number by a large factor real quick if you want 4 link, Fox, etc. There are a lot of variables but 65K will be a realistic starting point for an at home build from scratch.

Scary isn't it! How many hours do you have in it? Wrench time? Screen time? I am always amazed by the folks who walk up to you and think they are making an offer you cant refuse @ $30k.

Bet your wife is looking forward to getting her garage space back.

Enjoy it, drive it, and try not to think about how much each mile cost you!! LOL. @ 10 mpg also!!
