E-Brake Mod

I have have been looking for a thread where a couple of people had posted their modifications to the stock e-brake pedal to clear their roll cages and now I can't seem to find it.

As I recall, some moved the bracket enough to get the pedal to clear, some bent the pedal arm and I saw at least one that was cut and welded to jog around the cage.

Would love to see your ideas/mods!

Viper or Bowsher always said to just move the whole assembly over. They say it is easier than other methods.
I have yet to do it myself.
Was thinking about using a grab handle out of a Focus or Escort. Actually was going to use two. One for each rear wheel. Gives you the ability to make tractor ie,..sharp turns or front digs on the trail. If you have an open differential having two grab handles will help you send power from one side of the axle to the other.
I now have a Detroit locker in the rear so I do not need the assistance for an open dif.
I now also have 4 wheel disc and my rear calipers do not have the emergency brake ability. There are calipers that have the emergency brake ability but they are uber expensive, so I presently have no emergency brake, haha...

I removed the bolt that holds the brake assembly to the dash, pushed it over to clear, and drilled a new hole. Replaced bolt and all good.

I've done this on both of my Broncos. Works well and is very simple.

I moved my assembly over and used an existing hole with the same bolt.

Well that does look pretty easy! Did you move your dimmer switch too?

That is a great idea Randy!

I lined mine up last night and can move the pedal over easy enough. I think I will leave the dimmer where it is for now, it seemed like I could still get at it without too many gymnastics involved.

Thanks!
