Looking for pics, or a link to a thread (I didnt find one) of pictures of stock engine set ups. Stock air cleaner is what I will be running. Just trying to get an idea of what looks good, a little contrast would be nice I think...

My idea as of now, but I havent seen it...

Engine block/heads/front dress - Old Ford Blue

Pulleys and brackets - Black

Intake - Silver

Exhaust Manifolds - Black POR15

Valve Covers - Black

Air Cleaner - Blue

What you have proposed looks ok to me for a semi-stock look with "some contrast". Two things I would change however are the black valve covers to blue and the black POR 15 on the exhaust. Does POR make a high temp paint? I would use VHT high temp (1500 degree) flat aluminum paint. It's a nice silver color and looks good on exhaust manifolds and headers.

Hmm, my engine bay isn't stock, so I'm sorta at a loss for you. Maybe someone else can post something that will give you more a stock look.

My truck was 100% stock when I bought from the original owner. Everything was ford blue except the pulleys, brackets and exhaust manifolds.
pulleys & brackets black
mainfolds rusty (im guessing originally blue but not really sure)

Drew will know for sure what all the correct colors should be.

POR makes an Exhaust Manifold paint, that I hear is very good. http://www.summitracing.com/search/...ype/paint/paint-type/high-temperature-exhaust

It come grey, which might would look good, and they have black as well, but I am not sure if it is designed to work over the grey as a base or what... I guess its worth a call.
