I used a scissor jack to spread mine since you have to assemble and disassemble a few times.

I would send that back, or at least send those pictures to Duff and see what they recommend. Not a fan of modifying parts that should just fit.

There is no excuse for the poor QA. I say get a replacement on their dime or bend it for a 50% refund.

It will be blamed on the outsourced contract and is out of their hands.

For every one person that brings stuff like this up, I bet there are 20 more who said nothing and fixed the problem on their own.

Do what is right and make them fix this so others don't experience this issue in the future.

I think this is getting really blown out of proportion. Mine was similarly off if you install one bolt you can pull the pipe to line up with the other hole. I bent mine with the jack so I didn't even have to pull on it. But I didn't feel the need to bash duff cause the welded piece of pipe over a 4 ft length didn't line up with holes on a plate and you had to pull to line up. I felt the amount of effort to install it wasn't more than lining up some holes.

Perhaps having to slightly bend those tubes to fit those holes "sort of" pre-loads the tubes making them stiffer....
Just thinking out loud....

I bashed no one but instead, stated the facts. We must demand a better product for the price.

Personally, I have had this problem multiple times and it is not limited to Duffs. It is unfortunate you appear to feel you deserve a lesser quality product for your hard earned coin.

I have installed two of them. Both fit great with no bitching. I guess that makes me a winner!!!

The torque tamer is far from poor quality. I understand the original poster asking before he makes it fit, but anybody that can't make that adjustment shouldn't be doing their own work. The torque tamer fixed my axle wrap problems, for that I didn't mind adjusting it.

Oh I'm more than capable of handling this, and even building one from scratch. That is not the point, I've had others similar from basic 4x4 shops that bolted right in for one ton stuff. I went with this because EB, nine inch, etc. Spreading it a little is no biggie, going a 1/2" will take more. I already have to completely change my exhaust I just built 6 months ago, and now have to spread this part so it can " bolt in". It's not hard to build parts, using jigs to keep things lined up
