NP435 shifter with twin stick

So I'm having a little bit of trouble getting my shifter bent to clear the wild horses twin stick, while not hitting the tunnel in reverse and or the dash in granny. I don't really want to be reaching way over to the passenger side to shift, does anybody have a good example of a shift rod bent for this application? I have a 2 inch body lift so the top of the transmission barely penetrates the tunnel.

Thanks,
JB

Shifting the NP435 is like rowing a boat. I don't see how you'll succeed in avoiding a way to the right shift without using a Gearbanger shifter.

NP435, 1" BL
just make it work. I did it.
Custom mad built twin sticks before they were available on the market.
pic is NP435 in 2nd gear. front neutral/rear 2 high.
if you got store bought twinsticks, cut them down. you don't need much leverage to shift them.

Twin sticks, one inch body lift, and NP435. Here's how I bent the shifter to clear everything.
Shown here from the side in first and reverse.

Took a few tries heating and bending different places to get it right, but I'm happy with how it turned out and it's a comfortable reach from the seat.

Here it is shown in all the gears:

Oh... and I just remembered I ended up having to bend the twin sticks over to the left. I just dug out the pictures from five and a half years ago during the build.
Here's the twin sticks before and after:

Is there room for a gearbanger with twin sticks? That might do it.

Yes there’s room for both. I highly recommend the gearbanger.

I had a bent shifter to begin with and also have JB Twin sticks. I did have to bend the twinstick rods to get the right fit. It worked alright but Reverse was a pain with my console. I ended up getting the gear banger and love it. So much easier. The NP435 is still a slow shifting transmission but it is much more enjoyable to drive now with the gear banger.

If you want to stay with the regular NP435 shifter, Novak Enterprizes sells a shorter cane stick that is 18" long instead of the usual 24" or longer? you custom bend it however you want to and the shorter length makes it easier to shift and easier to keep out of the way of the twin sticks.

Wow thanks for all of the great replies and pictures, I really appreciate it. My setup and stick is very much like migs, I may have to tweak the rear axle shifter slightly to make it all work together.
I like the pictures of the gearbanger on GloNDark, I'll think about that but right now I don't want to order any more parts. Also a shorter shifter like mrdnac suggests might solve the problem.

THX!
