I hear a lot of discussion on moving a shock to make room for the brake caliper. Is it wrong to just rotate the passenger side backing plate so the caliper is toward the front?

Bleeding is a lot easier when the screw points up. You need to look at hose routing as well. Might be able to use two driver side calipers to get things in the right orientation.

either a cut to fit cable, or a custom made. I think between the body lift and the rear disc brake mod, ill have to have a set made anyway. After looking at the routing for a custom passenger side cable, moving the shock over seems the better way to go.

you'll only need to move the shock if youre running a parking brake...

I installed the TBP rear kit (#7500SL) this past winter which includes an Ebrake.
Solution to the shock spacing issue consists of installing a spacer and longer bolt (both included) which moved the lower shock mount to the inside of the original axle mounting flange. Only real mod was getting the new brake fluid junction tabs welded to the back side of the axle. Overall very easy install and happy with the product.
