My thoughts exactly. That is why I'm interested in seeing some finished carriers. Thanks for the input.

My plan is to paint the base (hidden) section black and the swing arm section body color. I was hoping to see some finished carriers to confirm my decision.
Thanks for all the input thus far.

Mine is not installed yet, but I had it powdercoated satin black to match wheels, bumpers, frame, etc

Heres mine. I was kind of dissapointed in the tire fitment of the wheel mounting area myself. I had to weld some longer studs on and space the center out a bit to get my 35x 12.50 tire to mount . But all in all it is a well made product

Thanks for the information about the tire mounting. I will test mine out before any paint is applied. I have 35x12.5s as well. Are your wheels 17s?

That is super awesome and I am excited for you! I run one of these on my 72 Bronco and absolutely love it. I like what others said and make the frame assembly black so it disappears and then paint the tire carrier body color. I chose to go gloss black powder coat on everything and it looks really good on my Bronco.

Not trying to be a tool but It is actually not a Duck Tuff Tire carrier. But it is a Duff Tuff Tire carrier

I was in the same boat as you with my tire and wheel. I ended up finding longer studs with the same size knurl from Oreily's so they just lightly pressed in like the ones it comes with and then I double stacked 2 of the 1/4" thick universal wheel spacers Oreily's carries. I am pretty sure this is an issue with certain wheels. The total width and the back space combined with the width of the tire. It is definitely a moving target and hard to make a product that fits all combinations of wheels and tires.

Hi Mike, no offence taken and thanks for the clarification. And thanks gentlemen for the additional information. Sometime this week, I will tryout the fitment of my tire and well combo and post my results.
