Just sharing. So while leaving the race track Saturday night my dimmer switch decided to fall apart while trying to
select high beam (NAPA Echlin DS115). Luckily I carry a couple of jumper wires in the glove box and was able to
"hotwire" low beams to get home. The second picture is the switch that came with my Centech harness 15 years ago.
It still worked so that went back in. Probably also made in china but a much better design.

I bought a new one and it was a little sticky, you had to tap on it sort of. Well my old lady was driving it and I told her she had to tap on it pretty hard sometimes and well I guess she did because it went all the way through the %)floorboard. I had to laugh

I think I am going to put a switch on the dash. Do you think that would be ok? Trying to weight the pros and cons of it.

Yup, just the local stock car races on Maui. There's only two tracks in the state, here on Maui, and on the Big Island.
They all came over to race Saturday night. In the video above, only one of those sprint cars are local to Maui,
all others came over from other islands.

I have gone thru a couple of switches,
I had one that would cut out and had to switch it a few times to get it to come back on, pulled up to a 4 way stop near my house one evening and lights went out hit the switch a few times went from high to nothing to high then low came on meantime cop pulls up the other direction, pull me over and i get a "what the hell was that" . godd think it was repeatable i showed him and was only 50 feet from my drive way.

Napa switches IMO are the same crappy chinese parts that can be bought cheaper somewhere else.

I am so fed up with seeing 'MADE IN CHINA' on just about everything and it is all junk. The flasher on my Centech harness was bad out of the box. I am using the one that came with the truck back when I brought it home in 2007. I also have the original dimmer switch on stand by. So much of the crap from China breaks very easy or does not function as expected. Things don't line up and such. I know everyone could go on a rant about this one.
