Vehicle certification label

When I had my Wife's 1968 Bronco painted I asked the shop to save or protect the Vehicle Certification Label on the driver door jamb.....but it either got lost or sand blasted off. I figured no big deal I'll just get one from Marti, but they are telling me Broncos did not come with those stickers until 1973.

Do any of you with 68's have a pic of yours you could share? Marti has been super nice and I'd love to show them that we did in fact have them.

Stupidly, this is the only pic I could dig up of the one on my Wife's Bronco so it does not do much good.....

I had a '69 that had the silver certification sticker. Lemme see if I can find a pic. Marti may be talking about the later VIN sticker, not sure what year that showed up.

I am still looking for a pic of mine but the sticker looked just like the top left one in the attached link. Maybe they sell it separate.

Maybe my memory is going and that is all it was. I guess all the other Broncos I have had were 74 and later so I may just have that stuck in mind.

So what was the first year the 66 silver safety sticker could be found, and where on the bronco? 1967'?

I have a 70 and it has the door jamb sticker,it looks bad though cuz I masked it off when I painted the rig,I was hoping to get a new one some day.;D
