I have a 77 be that replaced the gauge cluster with a Dakota digital cluster. It keeps shorting out due to weather. Also all the wiring in new. I am looking for an all weather alternative that might also be more cost effective than replacing it every year or so. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

My stock gauges sit out topless year round and work fine. Being in so cal we don't get tons of rain but the only thing I cover are the seats.

It sounds like you replaced something that wasn't broke with something that was. Many of the military Hummers and M151 jeeps were made for fording where most of the vehicle is under water. Gauges from them would be water proof. The fact that they were a also 24v may be a problem tho.
