I'm not down with the suicide door hinges being so close together, too much potential door sag.
I don't think a suicide door over a wheelwell is possible. It looks cool, but it wouldn't last 5 min. If you want freaky doors, go gullwing or articulated overhead (NOT Lambo). They'd make more sense, anyway: remove the top - the doors go with it.

hey tito, do one of a 4 door with a half cab. curious what that would look like.

Its on the first page bud, Its on Dan's fav's.

My rationale for the suicide doors is purely function....well maybe not purely ;D
I figure the center area will not be the most solid (will be solid with cage attachment) but would be best for a striker location than for trying to hang and adjust doors on.

My favorite look is the one with the notched door for the wheel well but 2 things are stopping me from that...1: I'd still have a limited width middle seat and 2: It would be A LOT of modification including the hard top, the door and the rear striker or post. Just sliding everything back 26" or so will be pretty straight forward...at least in my own mind. I will be running some 3x6s for rockers likely so I think it will be stabilized well in the middle. The most challenging will be putting the 2 strikers together to make 1 and lowering the floor like I want.

Somewhat off topic - but about 10 years ago I spent a month working in Brazil. I remember seeing Ford Trucks that looked like a later model Bronco, but with four doors and a Short pickup bed (like a half-cab) rather than the full wagon top. Found a photo - they are much uglier than I remember ... and only 2 doors. Kind of like a Bronco crossed with an 80s conversion van.

I have a 2nd gen and a 3rd gen 4Runner in the yard, I will measure the back seats and see, the runner and the EB look about the same width, & the runner has 3 seat belts in the back, it wont fit 3 adults but 3 kids fit fine.

Did you see a LOT of those, or just the one? It looks like a 1-of. The side mirrors, steering column & wheel, and brake master cylinder & reservoir look particularly odd. Are those Volvo taillights?

Saw a lot of them - they were pretty common. I know nothing about their mechanical setup - didn't pay a lot of attention to them at the time.

Trust me - Brazil has lots of very nice things to look at -

when i was there i say alot of them that looked like that also, not just fords but other brands as well with the same look. i guess that ugly look is popular down there. i am sure no one notices since there is so many other things to look at. ;D

I attached a modified 4 door to show about what the dimensions will be with the 26" door.

I was bored at work and was drawing the 26 door strech today, not that i will ever do it, who know, but i was thinking with a 4bt as a power plant in mine...if im spending that kind of money i better be driving it every day when its done...
