I'm finally ready to redo my seats and I'm wondering if you guys have had any experience with these kits: http://www.tomsbroncoparts.com/product/vinyl-interior-trim-kit-parchment-1968-76-new
I also saw a guy on ebay selling covers as well.

Do I take them to an upholstery place to install? Or is it about the same to just have an upholstery place just make them and install?

Final question...right now I have the brown hounds tooth. It's been great for hiding dirt and I have a giant bear of a black/brown dog.
I really would like to go parchment...any of you guys have dogs and parchment interiors? Is it just dumb to get?
I kinda know the answer already...
Thanks

A parchment interior will really detract from the Ranger package. To me the houndstooth is very distinctive and looks better. I would think it would hide dirt better as well.

You can install the covers yourself - just need some hog ring pliers and hog rings. Not to hard. I've done a couple of Mustang seats before and they turned out good.

Mellissa also has colored dash pads.
If you redo your seats use new seat foam I bought mine from toms
Seat skins, I used Made for you on E-Bay vinyl outside with cloth centers I dont think he has parchment.
I can barely afford to buy new parts can't afford to pay someone these days its just to expensive.
Have to do my own installations.

I'm not bashing the guy from Ebay (madeone4you) I really wanted to order his seat covers, BUT no commutation in 2 weeks after I told him I was ready to buy. I hope nothing has happen to him. seemed to be a nice guy while exchanging a few emails back and forth. I ended up buying mine from bronco graveyard. I am going to attempt to install myself, if I have to I'll find someone to finish them

Great...thanks for the info, guys.
Here's that reason again for the redo:

Uploaded with ImageShack.us

And Daddy..that quote "If everything is working good on the Bronco, just wait till tomorrow" totally fits right about now.
JUST was able to fix the last thing in a cascade of problems that happened all at one.
Man...exciting morning but I love that it worked. :)

MartyG,

I just got that same Parchment kit from Tom's a few weeks ago. I wanted the "Rosette" seat inserts which they call "textured" and it will match original perfectly.

But the Tom's kit is a perfect match for a "Sport". If you have a Ranger, I would go with Houndstooth. Madeforyou on eBay had the Ginger in Houndstooth recently. Maybe he still has some left. I have purchased from him before and he has great stuff.

Bronco Hut. Melissa can make whatever you want. As for install, I've done it myself but it's a pain in the ass. A shop install normally turns out better than DIY, but it depends how picky you are. After all, it's what they do EVERYDAY so they know the tricks/secrets.

I have no intentions of EVER doing it myself again.

Looks like you need a small cattle trailer for that hoss. I talked to a couple of different places around me about taking my covers and doing it for me and they charge 75.00 per cover, 75.00 x 6 (2 covers each seat)= 450.00

Sorry to hijack, and I have asked you before but where did you get the step rails? I have been trying to chase down a used pair maybe from a heep

NO WORRIES...
I got lucky and picked them up off a member of So.Cal Broncos for a case of beer & a bottle of Jack (I love my fellow bronco brothers).
He took them off his EB...they bolted right on existing frame holes.
They're made by SmittyBuilt and was exactly what I was looking for...but I don't know if they still make them.

New Foam

The PO on mine put in the kit from Tom's, I think. But they did not replace the foam in the seats and I felt every bar on every bump. I bought the foam from Jeff and had a local shop re-recover them. I need to do the same thing for the back seats now.
