• Be EXTREMELY cautious if someone offers to buy your Bronco for more than your asking price and sight unseen. ESPECIALLY if the buyer is overseas. It's probably a scam.

Hello,

I am looking for a Wavetrac carrier (or a complete center section for 9" FRONT). 31 spline. Gears not important / necessary, but 4:88's would be icing on the cake. New, used, what do you have?

Thanks, Swerve

Any particular reason you are looking for a Wavetrac?

Detroit Tru Trac is a very smooth operating unit if you are looking for good street manners.

It is my understanding that Wavetrac will put power to
one wheel while opposite is unloaded / up in the air...

Will Tru Trac do the same?

I've got a center section with 5.13s and a Detroit locker 31 spline. Would that work for ya?

Wow....those are expensive....
Like $900 bucks....
At that price what about ARB's?
They are the best of both worlds.

I read about the Wavetrac. Very impressive.
But I have gotten so used to my Detroit Locker that I will likely never change it.

Hello brononut73...yes the wavetrac is more expensive! That is why I am fishing for a potential deal here on CB.com!

My thinking is that the Wavetrac will be more smooth than the detroit locker, and that it will actually have some "cusion" effect for uneven loads / shocks.

I just don't want to deal with an ARB. The Wavetrac is simple, install and forget about it... I don't want to be switching on and off, and I do not want the extra components and wiring that may go wrong.

Thanks!

I feel ya on the extra hassle of an ARB. The install it and forget it idea is what got me to go with a Detroit.
But I didn't know about the Wavetrac. It is a fascinating design. Much higher tech than something like a ratcheting Detroit or Yukon.

I learn new stuff here all the time.
I love this bar.
