Been toying with the idea of bumping up the HP/TQ in my 302 or start collecting parts for a 351 based motor.

Just need some honest advice about what I have now and condition, with an economical approach to some decent HP/TQ.

Thanks,

Tg had specials on 347s a while back. I don't know if he's still doing it. I gotta call him bout a 350 for my 72 suburban 4x4. Just blew the 383 it had.

Just curious if you've made a decision on a builder yet?

hey Randy,

Sorry hadn't followed up on this thread. Yes I did speak to Jim and liked his advice on what to do. When I bought the truck 4 years ago, I was told it was a 347. I have a friend coming over to help me measure it soon, that may dictate what I do. If I have a 302, stroking to 347 maybe all I need.

Sweet, I hope it works out to your benefit. Hopefully it's ready if you're going to KOH again next year. We're going to shoot for Thursday afternoon and try to find a spot in the mayhem :)
