Man, I remember when the whole truck came with it for this price.

Oh boy. And this is how it happens... If (and that's a big IF) they sell then the market is "set". I have always feared it would come to this, especially since I've been searching for a set for over a year. This is how "they" put most of "us" out of the game.

Well hopefully they won't sell for that price, it would definitely start a trend if they do.

Has anyone ever seen the tabs with serrated edges like that? I've not.

Both of my 66"s have the serrated edges. A set of KH wheels I bought last year still had the imprint of those serrated edges.

When they hit these prices they will have to start thinking about re-popping them.

Honestly I would be down with that. Besides, the 66 caps look much better IMO than the later ones. I bet a lot of guys would run these on their stock uncuts.

Probably just one of those crazy priced ebay items that's kinda like SPAM.

I randomly see stuff like a $50 reproduction door handle for $1000 and dumb stuff like that.

The other day some guy had a Lightning intake for $1000, I sent him a private message and offered him $550 shipped and he sent it to me.

See and that's the problem. Some eBay seller will put a rediculous price on something and sell it. Then we get the monkey see monkey do effect therefore setting the market price. I PM'd the seller of the hubcaps the other day and offered him the "going price" in the Bronco community and he replied back that he wasn't selling to the "community". Made sense to me, he's selling to the builder/restorer who is working for the dude with bottomless pockets. But I guess that's capitalism at it fines and I won't complain about that because I know the alternative...

What is the going price for nice 66 hub caps? A non purist like me would not pay more than $150 a piece due to custom rims are $150.

It all depends on condition, I'd say the going rate for a set in average or decent shape is from $1000 to $1500. The set on ebay I could see someone paying $2000 easily as they are nearly perfect.
