Very new to Bronco's in general but wanted to get my information out on a forum as I'm looking to do a partial restore in the coming year. A little background on this gal. It was my dad's Bronco in high school and has ever since been sitting in a barn in Arkansas ready for someone to pull it and give it new life. In a perfect world I'd do a full restoration but in the medium term I'd like to at least get it rolling enough I can throw it on a flatbed and bring it down to Florida. I doubt the engine has enough life to be able to turnover but really do not want it rotting outside for much longer.
Would appreciate some feedback and maybe shops in the Florida area that could help me out in the future.

Welcome! You'd be surprised how easily it is to get one running again as long as rats/mice have moved in. I brought home a 66' a couple of summers ago that had been sitting in an Arkansas field since the late 80's. Pushed it up on the trailer with a tractor. Got it home, put on a new fuel tank, tank filler hose, ran new fuel line to the front, replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, points and condenser. Changed the oil and filter, rebuilt the carb, added new gas and it's been running like a top since. Quite a few Arkansas and Florida folks on here as well.

The rats actually have seemed to stay away from the Bronco. There is a Ford F100 on the other side of the wall in even better shape but the rats have made it their new home. I figured starting with the Bronco first would make more sense from a value standpoint. My only issue is convincing the wife to park her car outside so this thing can take up the second garage spot

I have a contact in Chattanooga TN (through work) that was willing to hold the Bronco in their shop and assess the damage then get it running enough I could ship it down to my place in FL.

Appreciate the response though, gives me some hope I can get her started sometime this year.

Welcome here!

Where is your place in Florida?

Others here that are close by can chime in if you need help or another set of eyes on it.

I’m in the Jupiter area. Bronco is still in Arkansas. It would be great to meet someone that may be able to temporarily store it until I’m able to figure out what I want to do with it. Heck even if I throw it on a flatbed and bring it down here to get running would be awesome!

Where in Arkansas is it? It may be simple to get if running there depending on conditions of course, even if just running on a gas can to load it.

Near Mean AR. My profile has pics of it. At a minimum I need some wheel and tires to get it rolling. Not too sure on on the engine turning over.

My hometown is Jupiter. Riverside Dr.
moved 5 years ago when I retired. Ocala area now. Might take my 73 down for paint.
