I think your guess of 85k is right on the money.

The cable shifted automatic between the seats turns me off though. For that kind of money, I'd like to see it look more like a stock shifter. (I know that they did not make automatics in '66)

I told somebody 80K this morning so it sounds like we're all in agreement in that area. The shifter was also something that turned me off in this build when I first saw it a few days ago. I love Winters/Art Carr shifters (I have one in my truck) but it doesn't fit with the vibe of this build. I'd do a column shifter or if wanting a floor shifter, a Lokar or vintage Mustang floor shift would be a better fit, in my opinion.

They did a great job with pics and description. Considering that 71' u14 sold for $34k last week, I'll guess $65k on this one. I thought it looked great in Wimbledon white sitting on that trailer in it's original glory...but you know me lol :)

Agreed on the shifter. I'd add the steering wheel too. Doesn't fit the build either IMO

Todd, do you know this one? I wonder where it was restored at. Seller is in Mesa?

I don't - haven't seen it before the auction went live.

There is a similar one going up at Mecum in a few weeks that's a local rig as well. It sat in a field out near Vicksburg for many years and then was purchased and restored by a guy in Wickenburg a few years ago who is now selling it.

Bidding pretty much died on this one after the $20k dollar bump bid on 3/10. 41 min left!

The auction said it sold for 56K. Still a good price I think.

Well bought - some nice quality in this one.

Would you guys speculate that uncut stock like trucks are rising in popularity over highly modified builds? Are we starting to see a trend develop?

I'm not so sure that we aren't seeing a softening in the market. That was a good buy at $56k, IMO. I was guessing $85k early on. My two complaints were the shifter and the steering wheel, but that is not a $30k fix.

The Parnelli Jones one only bid to $70. That was a pretty cool one with some provenance.

I also noticed the red one on BAT that just sold, went for $80k. That one was cut, modified, GM HEI distributor etc. Might show that the opposite is happening from your original point.

Across the board, I am seeing prices on all old cars coming down and well priced nice cars sitting. Might be seasonal, might be something else.

56k was a deal compared to the red one for 80k. I always am quick to judge a classic vehicle by the attention to detail on the underside. This half cab was up to par for me personally but the red one wasn't even remotely close!

These broncos fluctuate quite alot its tough to anticipate how much each will go for. Seen some big numbers lately though..
