I am waiting in the Action Bronco (76, blue, cover of Laughlin book) outside the local small post office in the tourist heavy Old Town area while the wife ran inside to drop off some mail. Alll the usual thumbs up and stares from passersby. But one couple of tourists were walking by and I heard her ask, “Is that a new Bronco?” Husband, “No that’s an old Bronco.” New ones are so rare that few have seen one, so I guess there is sometimes that question on the minds of the general public.

Back several months ago the "Great American Race" stopped in Lexington, Ky. I drove my '66 Bronco over and stopped to get gas in Lexington and a guy walked by, stopped about 15 feet away, and then yelled back "Is that one of the new Bronco's?" Couldn't believe it!

The new ones sure aren't rare around here. I see a couple of them every day. Almost all of them are 4 dr soft tops. There is a lot of money around here so I don't think people even think twice about buying one.
