Woodward Dream Cruise 2024 Pics

I was asked to take some pics of the WDC for some that wanted to attend & couldn't make it. I started the day by stopping at "The Kingsley Inn" in West Bloomfield - The site of the August 1965 press announcement of Fords new Bronco.

For the DC it's where the Ford GT's gather & there were 20-30 of them. I continued south to Pleasant Ridge & the Bronco Corral where I only took a couple pics(too busy talking with new & old friends). Eventually we walked to 9 Mile, site of the 1st traffic light - look at the top of the pic to see the "Stop - Go" mechanism - & checked out Mustang Alley. Unfortunately on the way we saw a 70 Mustang that got tagged by a Kia(or something like that). Ford takes over 9 Mile & has lots of new cars/trucks for people to see. Afternoon I went up to Birmingham & watched cars, got rained on & met some friends.

First time I have skipped it in years- the weather was looking too lousy. I did go down Tuesday-Friday each night and hang out. I enjoy those nights more than the actual event.

This is a real photo of the "Dream Cruise" which is supposed to be for Classic and Exotic cars, lol.

The best time to "Cruise" on Saturday is between 7am & 9am when all the Classic and Exotic cars are headed to their spot. Even taking those pics in Birmingham I had to weed out all the daily drivers to see the cars I was there to see. I used to be able to go during the week but my work schedule won't allow for that now.
