Ophir is just meh, I do enjoy that it spends time crossing some impressive glacial till, but the trail is super easy. I really enjoy Stoney Pass, but I plan a day for it and drive it from Creede to silverton or ouray.

Stoney Pass is kinda special to me. I spent a lot of time in that drainage on the East side when I had a unit 76 elk tag a few years ago.
The Rio Grand River begins near the top of that pass, on the East side. It's pretty cool that up there it's just a trickle that you can step over!

BruiserOutdoors: There are so many side roads in that area that you can take too. Alot of them don't even have names, but are worth exploring.
If you haven't already, I'd suggest getting OnX on your phone for maps.

Any suggestions on locations for base camp? Or places to park a truck and trailer for a week?

I've stayed at the KOA in Ouray numerous times for Bronco events over the past 30 years. We stayed there last year. They can handle everything from tent camping to motorhomes.

If you’re up for boon docking, Ironton is easy. For a little more services closer to Ouray, Amphitheater forest service campground is right in town. There are several camp grounds between Ouray and Ridgeway.

@kevscj5 is right about the Rio Grand😎 straddling it for this pic

Here are my trail goals. How many days should I budget for this, in what order and in what direction?

Engineer Pass
Cinnamon Pass
Mineral Creek
Black Bear
Corkscrew
Ophir Pass
Imogene Pass
Yankee Boy

Maybes:
Last Dollar Mountain
Poughkeepsie
Here's the last time we were there! Cruised around Silverton, met & talked with Bobby Unser because he showed us how to get over Cinnamon Pass. Lost another 9" axle brg after cresting the top & limped into Gunnison in 4 WD so we could slow down & limp into the Napa store where I "borrowed" their press & fixed it.
