I had a Pinto wagon once. It was a '73 squire I bought used ~10 years old for $250. That was one of the best buys ever. That car was rock-solid and ran great for 17 years before I donated it to charity. The only major repairs I had to do in that time was replace the timing belt (2,000cc OHC engine) and replace the clutch. Otherwise it was a killer DD, ran great in the snow with the radial tires I put on it.

My first car in high school was a silver Pinto wagon. I remember it accelerated fine unless you floored it. At that point it actually lost power and slowed down. So I got good at accelerating at 99% pedal travel.

My parents bought a new Pinto in 76 and it came with an aaoouugha? horn as some sort of promotion. I had it in my 78.

One of my college friend’s car was a Pinto. We called it the “Pimento Stallion”. He was NOT amused at all; cannot imagine why. Lol
