    Kayline/Rampage soft top advice

I remember it being tight. Lay it out or park in the sun for a while so you can stretch it a bit. The whole top stretches out after a short while from wind and the sun after it's installed. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk

DIY of the BCB arctic air box?

I have the BC box and it's a cool idea, but it could be improved on. It's a bit too small for filters. A DIY solution could address this. If you not cramped for room on the fender you could use a bit more fender and move the filter to sit at a 45° in the box and it would be a much better fit and...

    Power Steering Pump Leak

Also, all of those fittings are flared (with the exception of the return side at the pump) , so don't use tape. The tape could be causing the fitting to not seal up and that might be your issue as well. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk

    Power Steering Pump Leak

What pump is it? My Saginaw leaked shortly after it was new. At first glance I thought it was the fittings as well, but it ended up being the seal between the reservoir and the pump. The vendor warrantied it out. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk

Any Good Pics of Explorer Stock Spark Plug Wiring (standoffs and clips, looms)

This is the best one I have handy. I can get better ones later. It's the BC air box. It looks great, but the filter area needs to be bigger. I found an AEM dry filter that barely fits. The one that come with it an oiled type, that also does not fit great. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk

Any Good Pics of Explorer Stock Spark Plug Wiring (standoffs and clips, looms)

Here are mine. I reused the stock wire separators and a zip tie or two. I had the stock cast manifolds for a while with this same set up. I have headers now. I did end up putting 90 degree boots on a few wires with the headers. The stock ends got to close to a few header tubes. Sent from my...

    DDI Voltmeter

How did you do it? I remember others converting a Sunpro gauge, but not a digital. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk

    Dana 20 set screw bitch!

Well there ya go, I could not remember what it looked like. Now I remember. I agree with Paul, you should be able to find something close from hardware vendors. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk

    Dana 20 set screw bitch!

I am told the reason they are hard to get out was that there was a nylon lock in arms. I was lucky and they seemed to still work on mine. They were difficult to break free and the first few turns were hard, but they came loose. I did not look hard at the screws when they were out, but I don't...

    Idler Pulley Bearing Squealing

I had the same set up from WH and had the same noise. I too replaced everything thinking it was the bearing and went very OCD with washers thinking it was an alignment issue with the belt. I worked with Morgan at WH (I think it was Morgan, it's been a while), we decided the belt they provide...

1999 Explorer 5.0 Swap Into '69 - Carbureted, Manual Fuel Pump?

I forgot to mention the heads, dmoses is right. I ran the stock explorer manifolds for a while before getting p specific headers. I have read you can modify early 70s stock 302 manifolds and add a few 90 degree boots. The mustang guys have a lot of stuff on the web about modifying the 70s...

1999 Explorer 5.0 Swap Into '69 - Carbureted, Manual Fuel Pump?

Make sure your flexplate and flywheel are 50 oz too. This is easy if you have a C4, just use the explorer flexplate. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk

1999 Explorer 5.0 Swap Into '69 - Carbureted, Manual Fuel Pump?

I believe you will also need the longer dowel on the cam for the fuel pump eccentric. You will also need a different harmonic balancer for the 50oz motor, assuming your 302 is a stock 28 oz motor. A question, why not run the Explorer front dress? It's so much better for cooling and you get the...

LS3/6L80e Engine Swap into my 73

People will have some opinions for sure, but I think it's pretty cool! I did the Explorer swap with the 4R70W in my rig and I love it. Since then I've been more and more intrigued with LS stuff. It's an excellent platform with so much aftermarket support its ridiculous. If I I'd it all over...

Do I need a longer drive shaft?

It's been a while, but I seem to remember my D30 shaft being a little too long when I went to the 44. It fit, but it was too compressed. Sent from my SM-S916U using Tapatalk
