I traded this for mine back in '96, they gave me the Bronco and $1000 cash. The Toyota (4 banger) had a rod knocking but they couldn't hear if over the bad bearings in the transmission. Suckers!

The white one is my 74. The photo is several years after I purchased it but it looked the same as when I got it. If I recall correct, I paid $1200 for it. That was in 1989.

The blue one is my 66 roadster with a half cab on it. Its not pretty but its got almost no rust other than the floor pans that had been cut out and "repaired" by a previous owner. I gave $3000 for it about 3 years ago. The guy I got it from was asking $3700 and had no idea it was a U13.

If I told you I'd have to kill you, but it was more than most I've seen listed so far.

Just read the whole thread.

1st - $9500 - for a nice stock clean black truck

2nd - $7200

3rd - tie multiples at $6500

I find it hard to believe no one here has paid more than $10 grand for a bronco. Someone has to be buying them.....

Here's mine;

Paid $4500 for it 4 years ago and that's when our dollar wasn't worth more than yours. It was probably worth 0.80-0.85 cents at the time. That was probably twice if not three times what I should of paid, but I sold a house and had some $$$ burning a hole in my pocket. I sold the bronco I owned before this one to buy the house, so the deal was the girlfriend got a ring when I got my bronco back. So technically it cost me $4500 plus an engagement ring. Like many others here I have never saved one receipt and I don't care to ever know the final number.

$9k for mine in 09 and have a couple thousand more in it. PO had it for sale for over a year and wouldnt take a penny less and i just had to have it. Im glad i bought it as i later found out it was a special order truck with some very unique options(drip rail chrome, rocker trim, roof rack, and body color top) and may very well be the only caribbean turquoise(orig paint) ranger ever made.

$1500 for my 66 back in 00. Definitely overpaid on that one considering the rust.
$2000 for my 69 just a few weeks ago. Much better condition but still not the greatest (Pic attached).

That is a real sweetheart of a Bronco. Mine was originally that color or something close. In a couple years I may go back to that color.

Trust me I'm well over the 10k mark.

I paid way too much for mine - about twice as much as the other beater options over 6+ months of searching for one in "good shape," which of course has needed so much replaced, I should have started with a cheaper beater.

I've definitely more than tripled the original purchase on parts (mostly upgrades, including fairly nice engine), redoing PO shortcuts and replacing rust.

My job is apparently to make all of you feel good for all the work you have achieved for less $$, and that great sense of accomplishment for hard work. I may be in the running for most $$ thrown in the trash (without a show-car or Baja capable result). I'm not proud of the $$ wasted, but I still love the vehicle.
