All the pictures are good reminders of why we install safety equipment (from seat belts to full roll cages). Just a friendly reminder that some groups might try to use the pictures against us to close trails. Please post responsibly.

Still trying to come up with how this happened, the bearing split all the way around, dead center. Is this something that happens with a SB 9"?

In a nutshell- YUP. Happens to me about every 5 years of gentle use.. (about 1,000 miles a year) That's where the stress is on a ball bearing as it wears.

Couple summers back- top heim joint broke on a D60 front 3link. Allowed the axle to rotate fwd. breaking the bottom off both air shocks...... Just luck for us a friend's rig was sitting behind my garage waiting for some "upgrades" and it had two 2.5 fox air shocks on it :) So, we ended up just putting two new air shocks on it, new heim joint and drove it out. The winching it up, highlifting, pallets, rocks etc. to get the axle lined back up correctly while the rig was pointing down hill was interesting!!!! Put over 500 miles on the tow rig running back and forth over the course of 5 days........

One of my favorites. Only his Hanson and that lowly little gas can kept him upright until the "rescue" team arrived.
