Hah! Glad to help keep it young.
And I swear I still don't feel that old! The memory of that trip in particular literally feels like it could have been last year. Until you look at the Armstrong Tru-Trac tires, blue license plates, bone stock Broncos, and young faces staring back at us from the pics.
Every once in awhile, in-between working on some aspect of a Bronco, we'll whip out the old photos for a good-times laugh.
What's really interesting is when I'm hanging out with friends and talking about life, Broncos and the pursuit of happiness, and realize that, while some of those friends in the circle are my age or even older, some could literally be my kids or grandkids! Whoa Nelly and holy schnikeys!
I can relate though...
Going through my dad's color slides makes me painfully aware of the passage of time.
At Grand Canyon circa late '40's or so. Taking a break from designing and building the Flying Wing for Northrop, and fiddling with a camera as usual.
Southern California, probably Big Bear circa 1951 (the kid on the right just turned 72!)
Circa 1966.
And I wonder where I got my love for the outdoors and cars??? ;D
Finding so many images of the family camping when I was so young really brings it back.
Sorry to throw some non-Bronco stuff in there, but that's what's been on my mind and keeping me away from here so much lately.
