Wonderful stuff FRANKO. Thanks.
So have the still shots we've had glimpses of over the years been culled from the video, or were they taken with still cameras at the same time?

Thanks again.

Paul

Hi Franko,

Thanks for posting these!

My Dad was responsible for the propane on that trip. It was very cool seeing him in the videos. He passed away in 1984, and these are the only videos I have of him.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing Franko! Maybe you should bring a projector and screen to SC, would be fun to watch!

Hi Everyone,

I'll keep this post short, so I'll leave out a lot of details for now.

Today I received a few boxes of pictures and slides that my brother ended up with after my Dad died. On Sunday I sent my brother a link to Franko's thread. He watched it and I think it touched him as much as it did me. He wrote me later to tell me about the things he had. He said he would send everything to me to go through. I received three boxes today. It was like Christmas.

My Dad was responsible for organizing all of the refueling for the trip.

There is a very large folder with photographs and details of the event. There are several pins and other promotional items. There are a number of letters from Ford public relations people, and communication between my Dad and Bill Stroppe and Karl Thomas.

I scanned some of the black-and-white photos. I am attaching them. Some of them were the official PR photographs. The others I'm not so sure about.

I was in college at the time. I remember the talks I had with my Dad about the event. It would have been way cool to participate.

I hope you enjoy.

Take Care,

Jeff
