Tailgate assist

I've seen counterbalanced tailgates for about 15 years now. At least from the OEMs. And there are some janky aftermarket versions. Today while bumming around I saw something that caught my eye. A ford service part. The piston driving the counterbalance hides in the bedside. The factory style tailgate hinge looks very factory like. I could see someone doing a stealth install with one of these.

So who is going to be the first to try it?

Should have known Taz already did it. Really slick how well it is hidden inside the body out of site.
