Heavy rain at night, hydroplaned, curved merge on freeway, 360⁰ spin out, hit post of overpass, impact shifted everything.
Driver's glass broke resulted in cut on finger.
Single vehicle, no others involved.
Shaken up.
Taz is okay.
Bailie Bilt bumper saved it from major damage.
Just found out. 408W ran flawless through the whole ordeal. Drove out of it to next gas station. And drove home on its own, escorted. Still in pouring rain.
We will rebuild.

Smash happened at 10pm Friday. Teardown started next day Saturday 930am. Taz superglued the cut on his finger and went to work..

Glad Taz wasn’t seriously hurt. Y’all will make it as good or better than before. Your shop supervisor will oversee quality control (when he’s not taking a power nap). Peanut is one cool cat

we had a frame available to cut the front horns from. And I fabricated a new steering box mount for the 4x4x2 PS box moved forward about 2". I used a 4"x4"x1/4" box tube split in half to make it 2.25" wide and added torque tubes for the steering box bolts.
As always Peanut is supervising. 6th pics is the wall that kissed the bumper. lost the headlight.

Decided to go without inner fenders due to them being bent up. We used a line lazer at night along with fishing weights as plumb bobs to line up steering box mount. Bent up 1" sch40 tube for tube front. Peanut supervising.

always have a fire extinguisher close by when you're welding. sparks got into oil box and up in flames it went. Used a come-a-long to pull hood..

I had Taz look for a better grill in the the backyard to use and he found one among the few that we have. Got a driver's door glass also to replace the shattered one.

Last week of June, Taz got everything electrical hooked up, bolted in a stock bumper and took off for a shakedown run.

@Madgyver, after all these years just noticed the tag line below your avatar: BRONCO MADMAN. beginning to appreciate the zest at which you attack life! Glad you’re no worse for wear and have the EB back on the road.
It’s sad that you get put in those positions but we do gain some knowledge from watching, as it were, the rise of the phoenix from ashes.
