New member, thanks for accepting me.
I had some information on a Bronco parked in a forest for many years.
Owner wasn’t sure what year it was, his father bought it years ago and passed away.
After doing some reading on this site about the Budd bodies, this one may be one.
It’s a U15, #751012
It is very rough but the frame is solid and motor and trans are still there.
Does that vin fall into the range for the Budd bodies?
Thank you

Welcome to the forum. Budd made all the bronco bodies, 66-77. The 66 and 67 shared some "oddities" that the 68-77 didn't....the early 66's(like yours) had items the later 66's didn't...and the 67' had some that none of the 66's did lol.

Those early "Budd items" that you're referring to varied throughout the first few months. There's some things that only 8/65' builds have, some that only 8/65'-9/65' have and some that 8-65'-11/65' have. Yours is a 9/65' build. Ford wasn't very consistent about when they made part or design changes for the 66's. They didn't make changes based on vins, they switched when they ran out of that particular part, such as grills, hoods, etc.

I put this thread together a few years ago. Couple weeks worth of great bathroom reading lol.
