I can see moving them up to gain a round reverse light, but doing so destroys the symmetry so I doubt that I would do it. I had planned to make a similar insert for my old '84 Xcab yota and it would have had a round amber at the top for the turn signal.

I used one of these for a dust light on the FSB and am impressed with it.

After looking it over a little more it's just too tight to squeeze another light in there, and like you said, the symmetry of the light being centered counts for something.

Didn't really do much today. Removed the taillights and started removing the tire carrier hinge brackets but the bolts are pretty crusty.

I did however order the fabric part of a RTT from one of the China suppliers I've imported from. $80 shipped. I have a sneaky plan to scalp a hard top and hinge it, making an integrated RTT with the convenience but not the weight. Instead of a hard floor I'm thinking perimeter frame and fabric of a 2 person cot, keeps it light and kind of doubles as a headliner.

Playing with steering. I either need to raise the panhard way up or go back to under the knuckle tie rod, because I only have 2-3" of uptravel before the tie rod hits the panhard bracket. I think I will raise the panhard, I can trim that bracket a little more and get the top hole a tad higher and then cut off the other 2 holes. It should tuck in right behind the crossmember at full bump on the passenger side.

What knuckles are those? I had a similar issue. 70-something F-150 knuckles have lower steering arms than the Duffs (clones of the 75-76 knuckles I think, that I ran for years) and solved the problem, also got my panhard and drag link closer to parallel.

80s GM. I think I have it worked out for 5" of straight up travel now, limited by a lot of things all at once. Should be a little more when twisted up.

Quiet day for Bronco progress. I have a new furnace being delivered tomorrow so I focused on getting the old one out today. I did carve out a little time to carve out and tack in some filler plates for my taillights.

Today I was ordered to take some stuff to the basement, but the basement was in total disarray much like my life. So I ended spending the day straightening it up. After it was all said and done, I had a nice little space left over so I set up a folding table and laid out my NP205 parts. I really need to stop dragging my feet and get it rebuilt and a nice comfy basement beats the cold garage.

Then feeling froggy, I pressed the sun gear into the ecobox. I wasn't sure if my 12 ton press was going to work since the instructions called for 20-30 but it did the job.

Way too early to put the seats in? Yes. Was it the best feeling ever to sit inside and make vroom vroom sounds? Oh yeah.

I did have a good reason. Needed to see where the seats landed so I could ponder bringing coilover mounts into the body.

It's settled, the tub is getting cut for the coilover tower to protrude behind the rear seat. Spent some time measuring and mocking and I like how it's going to work out with the Ruffstuff towers. The only question now is 12" or 14" coilover, it will determine which tower. 12" set with 6" up/6" down or 14" set with 6" up/8" down. @Yeller what would you do?

I found a box almost exactly the same size of what the protrusion would be for the 14". The 12" would be the same base just 2" shorter.

I would also do 12". One note is although the brackets are very strong you still should have some type of cross bar. I have mine in front of the seats but I did run a bar between the brackets below the body line. Not as good as higher up but better than none.

Thanks for the input guys. Still considering the taller tower even with a 12", it would get the shock up out of harms way a little more.

I'm committed now!

Debating buying 1 tub and splitting it in half, which will end an inch from the corner upright, or buying 2 and having the tub butt against the upright, which should add some strength to that corner.
