right. i'd like to see how these high end builders do it. there's definitely some tricks to the trade on these builds to make things cleaner

Exactly. What Shimmy is saying. I know the basic methods, but I'd love to learn how the top dollar builds set it up, or maybe even if the doors aren't functionally removable due to the wiring.

I kinda the opposite (& Y i bought the bronk 4 decades ago). The
more U mod it the more touchy, complicated breakable maintenance
required. - disc breaks, tilt steering wheel, etc. I DO make some concessions
I guess, but probably as few as possible. It’s great these rigs could fill this wide
a choice of applications (us’n them).

Any insight as to the connectors or mechanism they used to run the wiring through the door jams that still allows them to be removable?

lol. My Highline build had so many issues. Wiring, power steering, fuel pump relays, trim coming apart, etc etc. Put tow companies in your phone. Put 5k miles on mine about 900 at a time between tows and shops.

These high end builds using parts that were never meant to be on them certainly take a lot of sorting out. I think most people dont realize when they spend this kind of money that fresh builds will take quite a while to dial in. It does suck when you spend that kind of coin but unless they have a great amount of test miles, they will need constant tweaking.

Constant for sure. I expected some sorting but got sick of the leaks, electrical issues and being stuck on the side of the road. The ford wiring harness should not require sorting or work around but they are very poor quality. $3k ford wiring harness should be plug and play. Nor should the PSC system go through 2 pumps and run extremely hot over couple of thousand miles while spitting fluid out the pin hole in cap regardless of fluid level. Truck looked great but couldn't trust it to go across town much less couple hour cruise, and forget going OFFROAD and having it quit on me.

Thanks, All. YZ634…nice try derailing my auction. You’re welcome to post your gripes, but on my auction certainly wasn’t the right place. Odd you didn’t post about them on your own auction. I’ll take what you say with two grains of salt.

This was my third build with Highline and I keep going back for a reason. I’ve had nothing but the opposite experience and when I had a small issue, Highline had me take it to a shop of my choosing and they paid the bill. Top notch and the type of builder you want for anything you want built, my opinion. I have made a ton of friends through the comradery of builds and none of the people I know have had any major issues (my three, my friend two, and several others that have now become my friends that have them). You’re the anomaly and quite frankly, wouldn’t take your word after watching your character show.

Ngsd…I’m texting you my phone number so you can text me tonight to remind me. I don’t know for sure that I have it, but imagine it’s on the bottle of extra touch up paint in my closet.

we get stuff like that in - either “Check my new rig out” or “How come the fuel gauge dont work?” and find
all sorta stuff. Sompin left off, not fastened down, broken, wimpy, installed wrong, wrong component for
the application. I can guess final sale price near right (& find out so when they come in after my “All fixed,
come pick it up” call) “for 80K$ you’d think they’d have the lower spring bucket secured?” and they say
“Yeah, 110k$, tho...
BTW: i stay away frm BaT since Car’n Driver picked them up (Hearst) as I’m tired of yellin @ my screen~
