What causes the extreme delays with their deliveries? Are they making the upholstery one thread at a time? Do they have the material and just have such a huge backlog of orders?

After waiting a little over 3 years, I had to get in touch with the owner of SMS Auto Fabrics, Doug Pollock and did that help me when I told him my story of waiting so long, not really sure if he was honest about not knowing that customers are waiting so long for their orders or not, but he seem concern about me at this time. I asked him why it was taking so long, and this is what he told me, he said they have orders from all over the world that come in each day, and they put your order in line as they come in, also they do certain vehicles trim panels or upholstery kits only one or two times a year, if you have thousands of different vehicles, it takes a long time for your order to be picked up to be done, he also throw in Covid years when they had to shut down for a while and the orders piled up adding to what they already had, also he said he had a certain work force that only does this type panels for certain vehicles, he also said his company was the only one in the world that had OEM vehicle fabrics and material that you could obtain for your vehicle. He really never mentions any shortage of material to me. The long and short of it was they have a backlog of orders of years, when you are the only one that makes the OEM early Ford Bronco Ranger interior trim panels with all the chrome that goes on them that are a perfect match, what else can you say about that. I know I waited a long time, but they really do look awesome to me.
