Going to try removing the two layers of paint on top of the factory paint

Factory is 1974 Village Green

Has dark forest green on top of that and beige on top of the dark green

I’m going to try going back to the factory paint and patina

Will need some touch up paint though for my rust repairs

I go to my local auto paint store and they mix it up for me on the spot. Great old school shop. The last can I bought years ago was $20 as I recall. I stopped by a few weeks ago and got another one and it was $30!

if you have a local automotive paint supply store i'd try discussing with them. i have a few Wescos around so it makes it easy for me. they can put anything in a rattle can and they have a machine that can color match to your existing paint. (faded, weathered, etc). this would be better than ordering your paint code off a website.

If you have a API paint store they can do it. I live right down the street from one and they mix any color I need and put it in a rattle can.
