Anyone have a picture of what an original battery hold down setup looks like for a 1975 Bronco?

That's the later replacement too by the way. Not sure when Ford changed them (though Justino would know), but the originals for the earlier years were the stamped metal ones that were covered in a rubber-like coating.
The issue with them, back when all batteries leaked, was that they lasted only a few years in many cases, and rapidly turned into corrosion/dust underneath the otherwise pristine coating.
So one little chink in the armor, and you were left with a hold-down that would not hold anything down. Just a rubber "shell" over deteriorated metal.
I replaced the original on my '71 with the one pictured above, bought from the dealer, in about '78 or so. It was the only one they had and was for a full-size truck. I really wanted it to hold a larger battery than the ones that came stock in the Bronco. Maybe a group-27 instead of a group-24? I can't remember, but I'd already decided to one one step larger in the battery department.

Here's pretty much what an early style looks like: Battery Hold-Down Top Clamp

So is the coated metal version correct for a ‘75 or should it have the composite style Justino posted?

That’s a good question. I was kind of asking the same thing myself.
I don’t know if Early Broncos got the composite one or not. I didn’t hang around a lot of 76s or 77s back in the day, but I would’ve sworn a 75 still had the plastic coated metal.
Somebody here will know for sure though.

D0DZ-10718-B (replaced C5AZ-10718-A & D0DZ-10718-A). . . Plastic Battery Hold Down,
fits all R-22F / R-24F / R-27F / R-27FA / R-29NF batteries.
The original C5AZ hold down was steel with a rubberized coating. The coating hardened, chipped off, battery acid caused it to corrode. At some point after 1970, Ford replaced it with the plastic hold down.
The J hooks are the same, but you cannot use that nut/washer combination, because it won't fit.
Also used on: 1970/73 Maverick/Comet, 1965/66 F100/250 2WD, 1966 F100 4WD, 1967/72 F100/350.

Actually, now that you post that up. I got the DODZ from the dealer. The other larger one that Justin posted I think I got from the junkyard.

I’ll add my thanks to NumberDummy (Bill) as well! Gruff and direct to the point, but that man had a lot of Ford parts knowledge!

Just wordin. Even as I was writing it I thought about that.
As far as I know, Bill is still around. But his knowledge is not being imparted daily like it used to be. Tens of thousands of posts and he finally got tired of dealing with it all.
Sometimes he said he was going to get on the older truck forums but I haven’t been over to check to see if he’s still posting.
