Slightly disappointed with Wild Horses EB floor mats

I got a set of wild horses early bronco floor mats and while they do fit, the driver's side Matt ends 2 in short of the firewall. They provide the cutout for the bright light switch and clearly they could have provided the cutout for the e-brake cable and/or the clutch rod but instead the mat just ends.
On the contrary the passenger side mat goes all the way to the firewall.
The fact that one Matt goes all the way up and one mat ends 2 in before the firewall not only looks odd but reduces the effectiveness of the overall floor mat.
I don't intend to return these, especially as I've already cut them for my roll bar, but I may seek out the supplier of the material and cut my own and then simply junk these or set them aside as a spare.

Just my two cents worth in case anybody is considering these floor mats.

I don't have an original, but if it went much higher there would be issues with it fitting around on your light switch wiring, the emergency brake cable housing, and the rod boot. Cutting out for those pieces would require bigger openings or require that you remove pieces before you install the mat, which kind of defeats having a mat you can pull our and wash. Do you usually get mud up that high?

I do see your point when I look at some of the vendor images. Most of them are using rendered images rather than an actual install, and they appear to go up higher on the firewall if you base the location on bends. On the flipside, none show going above the rod boot.

The point being that they did cut out for the bright light switch and they could have cut out for the clutch and/or e-brake cable. But they didn't. It seems like a needless shortcut.
