Love the Toms seats I just put in mine, your build is similar to mine but a little more $$ and complete.

I would suggest looking at a Bailie Built cage, just up in Oklahoma. Love the safety of his design.

So far 4.10/ 33’s seems like a good combo but I’m running a ZF5. No highway driving yet, still working out kinks.

Big update on my project. After nearly 2 years of sheet metal work, I am finally in a better spot. I must have welded 15 patches, 100 plug welds and drilled out more spot welds than I could count. I have been through spools of MIG wire and piles of flap discs. My garage is constantly covered in a layer of glitter and my wife hates me. But I have all new quarters, rockers, fenders, hood, windshield frame, tailgate and a grill. the only exterior metal which will be original are the window frames, and boy i spent so much time on those I should have ordered new ones. I had the tub blasted and epoxy primed. Was able to get the 347 stroker, ax15, and dana 20 mounted up. Called the neighbors over and got the body on the chassis and am now finishing up miscellaneous sheet metal work.

It appears my bronco was wrecked at one point as I had to get the frame straightened whenever I started the project. The body tub must have tweaked with the frame and now that I have it on the chassis, I have a pretty serious Taco'ing thing going on. It was also thrown on a shop floor 15 years ago with no door bracing which is also definitely part of the problem. You have to shim up the rear body mounts and the front body mounts about 1/2" to make it look right. Luckily, I haven't welded the quarters and rockers in yet and I am taking it to a local and well respected bronco body builder to see what they say about straightening it out. Any advice here would be appreciated. I could make it look decent from the outside with LOTS of shimming but I am going to try to straighten the tub out then weld in the panels. to correct the issue.

Attached are some photos to show you a little of what has gone on, where I started, and where I am now. You have to wanted it BAD to finish one of these projects. No shop, No lift, NO EXCUSES.

Little update on my project. I brought it down to Woody at Badass Broncos in New Braunfels, TX and he has to be one of the most knowledgeable shops in the country, especially with sheet metal, paint, and body. He was able to insert custom jigs he had made, straighten the body out, get all my door gaps dialed in, he added metal to the back of the doors, he cut and refit the rockers, and then built a custom roll cage which he has a jig for. Check out the body gaps! He is building and installing these cages for $2,500 and I couldn't recommend it enough. It is good looking, has seatbelt bungs, and is built out of larger, thicker tubing than say the Krawlers edge cage. I paid him extra to go ahead and paint the cage.

He is going to pull the body off next week, ceramic bedline the underside and engine bay, reinstall the body for the last time, and then I will pick it up. It is getting pretty close to being ready for paint. Tom's Impact bumpers on order!

Tom's impact bumpers came in and I have to say, I am in love. For the technical side, I ended up with about a 1 5/8 body lift in the front and about a 1 1/4" in the rear. I HATE broncos with large bumper to body gaps so I spoke to Toms and they recommended I order the bumper with the 2" - 3" body lift option. They said the stock to 1" body configuration bumpers are too difficult to modify but the ones designed for the 2"-3" body lift have bracket that can be easily modified to create a custom height for you rig. I ordered the 2-3" ones and as a result, the front bumper fits nearly perfect with little to no gap. I can install washers to dial it in if needed. The rear is about 1/4" too high and will require modification. looks like i will be able to cut the brackets and reweld and make a nice pretty gap.
