Installed some new bumpers

This Bronco had chrome bumpers on it since we got it, but I always thought it would look better with white. Unfortunately the chrome ones had been bent and straightened too many times to even consider trying to work out the kinks and paint them , so I ended up buying new ones. While I was at it I extended the top of them to cover the frame to body gap and add a little strength, as well as adding some recovery points. I used factory tow hooks from an s10 blazer. Opened up the bumperet, or whatever you call them holes enough to feed the hooks though. Then I welded on some 3/8" plate so I could bolt them to the frame as well as welding them to the bumper. I like the way it all turned out.

Forgot to mention, I cut a couple inches off of each end on the front bumper.

Thanks guys! After following the thread on here about recovery gear I ordered a couple of soft shackles. What a game changer, they're awesome. That's where the idea to use the tow hooks came from. I needed something that was easy to fish the shackle through with no sharp edges.
