I alluded to it but couldn’t officially say anything until it was underway and moved on to unknown locales, they are continuing on the rest of the week. I was invited to be a “local expert” for 2 days of the week long Unreal Adventure. For those that don’t recognize the name you probably know what it is. Unreal Adventure is the continuation of Ultimate Adventure that Four Wheeler magazine used to put on, same crew, same cronies, same philosophy, live out of your rig, wheel a different place everyday, and drive your rig to all of them visiting cool places along the way. Being invited to be involved was quite the honor.

I encourage anyone that thinks this insanity is fun to apply, you will not be disappointed, great group of folks and visit some truly unique country in a unique way.

Was quite busy so I didn’t take many pics, but here are a few that I did take.

Awesome! That's an honor to be included for sure! Looks like Verne Simon's Scout in the first pic?

Who runs it since 4WOR doesn't exist anymore?

So awesome! I applied for next year while the bronco is still in the lower 48, my hopes aren't super high but it's a bucket list item for sure!

Trent McGee a Christian Hazel are running it. Trent has been the route planner for a very long time, long before the magazine died.

FYI, Trent is local to you, he’s also the GM of Jeep Farm.

They did OR and WA last year if I remember correctly. They have covered coast to coast over the years.

I thought he lived around here somewhere :). I think I met him once many years ago ....somewhere......probably something I did with Rick Pewe....specific memory is gone. He's had a lot of different jobs over the years. Still need to visit the Farm one of these days - I've corresponded with Drew a few times online.

The Ultimate Adventure group included Lockwood, Mo as part of their stops probably 15 years ago. I will have to find my T shirt to know for sure. My son and I were volunteers for the event. I ended up taking the head honcho who always wore sandals to a neighboring town for meds. He managed to drive a stick/splinter under his big toe nail and it was getting infected. It was a Sunday or after hours and I had to get the pharmacist to come in from the hay fields to get what he needed. Good times. Glad to hear the tradition continues. Good for you Steve!

Sounds like Rick Pewe?
