I'm restoring this classic EB to be a daily driver. I need the door and striker posts and maybe a rocker panel. The floors seem solid. Who has the best sheet metal out there?

Thats funny, what is holding that roll cage in there? Or is the roll cage holding what is left of the floor?

FWIW I think the posts are all from the same stock but floors, I have experience with Tom's and JBG, They seemed to be different, the JBG was a little better I believe.

If your restoring that rig (or whats left:eek: ), I would really like to see what you consider a lost cause.;D ;D You need to post as many pics as you can when you get started. I as of now have not had the pleasure of a floor replacement, but wish the best for you.;)

hey, just use some por-15 and some bondo. the por will prevent further decay and the plastic will never rot. it'll last forever. sheetmetal not needed..

All joking aside, that's going to be a lot of work, props to you for bringing it back from the dead.

Dennis Carpenter sells the best metal out there, several of the Bronco houses rep it. Ask for it by name. There is cheap imported steel, but it often has fitment issues.

I have seen people start with much less than what you have. But, I must say that seeing that picture makes me feel a lot better about the amount of work that I have yet to do on my '69 body. Best of luck in your restoration and keep us posted.

Not You!

JBG parts are mostly from offshore suppliers. Look around for domestic better fitting parts if you can.

Jeff's Bronco Graveyard.... (JBG)... i have spent almost $1,000 in sheetmetal only for my rig, and i finished cutting/grinding/welding the panels in before i removed the body... It's not too bad, just take your time, and it'll look great... Oh, and i replaced: Rockers (2), Inner Rockers (2), Floor Boards(2), Door posts (2), Inner Fender Aprons (2), wheel well (1), and tailgate patching, as well as all four corners inside the cab/bed area, Passenger side rear quarter panel.... and will be repairing the entire passenger's side of my hardtop as soon as i mount the body back on the frame... it's not too bad.. Good luck.

i have used the jbg parts before. the floorpans fit nicely but do need trimming and i bend the tab near the kick panel down, to align where the factory floorpan met. the strikers go in well. the door posts need a little coaxing though. i usually use them as their prices are good. a lot of the parts the vendors sell all come from the same place... sorry, i took the theme of the post as a joke. it'll be a lot of work. is it a special truck?

edit- if you've not done any mods like that before, which i think you have, measure a solid truck before you start. the tub will sag and move around when you start tearing into it. before you put it all back together use tech screws or rivets rather than tack weld. it'll be easier to move parts around to make everything line up.

Whats wrong with the post you have now. They look like they are original N.O.S and once you change them it will never be original again. Like Craig Jackson always says they are only original once. LOL
