Title replacement for Broncos with no title

Most states have multiple "independent DMV consultants" who provide all kinds of title and VIN Verification services. Call the most local one to you and do business in person. Don't go to the actual DMV, don't go to AAA, don't go to the local police station or highway patrol. Use someone who...

Where did Ford miss the mark on first gen Bronco?

Scratching noise upon startup that goes away quickly UPDATE Fixed

I bought this Bronco from the original owner. He had the original 289 replaced with a crate 289 in the early 1990s. It appears that the starter that was on the original engine was reinstalled on the replacement engine.

Met an original owner '67 today EDIT 8/13/26 - Rebuilt original starter

Haven't updated this thread in a while. Lately I'd been having issues with the starter. See this thread if you're interested. Long story short, I had to have the starter rebuilt. In my 12 years of ownership, this is just fourth repair I've had to make. 1. Intake vacuum leak that needed a...

Scratching noise upon startup that goes away quickly UPDATE Fixed

Well, you guys were right as usual. About six weeks after starting this thread, the failing starter nearly left me stranded at the grocery store. $130 at the local rebuilder and we're good as new. Interestingly, the starter is OEM Ford. Considering the history of this Bronco, it doesn't...
