Sharp Motorsports 4600 Class Early Bronco

I haven't seen any cracks in the frame (last time I checked is after our crash from 2019). We did insert square tube into the ends of the frame horns and then plated it and welded the cage to the rear and front bumper/engine cage into the front. I did plate both sides of the frame where the...

Sharp Motorsports 4600 Class Early Bronco

when i cut off my rear shock mounts i also was concerned about the weakened areas and plated both sides with 1/4" plate and made another weld pass on the rear hangers. This bronco was a Colorado native and I was shocked on the rot there...

EB width High Pinion Dana 44

If you source a used full width high pinon axle and cut/turn it you might as well just swap to another EB axle. as mentioned you wont see much advantage using the HP over the LP especially since you already have a longer front drive line from the 4r70 and it drives great now. If you use another...

Sharp Motorsports 4600 Class Early Bronco

I would just shoot Jesse a PM through instagram and ask him. I didn't digest everything you said above on the axles - essentially you are saying you got the wrong axle shafts and the axle you have is thinner, not as strong as the one you really want. To solve both issues you want to cut...

Sharp Motorsports 4600 Class Early Bronco

How much $ are the fiberglass fenders vs steel? As you mentioned, the chances of body damage are very high at KOH so chances are you will be replacing one or both. Personally I wouldn't worry about the weight differences in the body panels, an early bronco actually doesn't have much weight...

Sharp Motorsports 4600 Class Early Bronco

I would absolutely brace across the top of the door openings, also i would brace from the firewall to the core support if you intend to keep the front clip. a single round or square stock will work on the openings. I also braced across the tailgate area - but since you aren't running one then it...

Sharp Motorsports 4600 Class Early Bronco

And i agree, your cutting it close to make it to KOH 2021 :) Personally - It might be fun to put the safety requirements in place. Service the existing axles and maybe drop in the EFI Explorer stuff and run it.. see how well a stock bronco does :)

Sharp Motorsports 4600 Class Early Bronco

Nice, stock class at KOH is something i have been eyeing to race as well. A couple of ideas/recommendations/suggestions... I think you are on the spot with the axle selection (HP D44 and D60) and increasing track width a bit, Although you might lose a little ground clearance with the Dan60...

    New owner from Germany

You might have to use a little RTV sealant on the front Dana 20 output under the yoke where the washer sits. That sometimes weeps a little oil.

    Sealing D44 diff cover

I use lube lockers for the 72 front and rear without an issue - no leaks, easy to remove and clean up and you usually can get 2-3 uses out of them if your careful. I use the black oil resistant RTV on the 69 front and rear without any leaks or issues but takes a little time to clean and prep...

    Explorer ALt. hood clearance issue.

I don't think your bracket is mounted in the correct holes on the head or something. The alternator usually sits almost in front of the cylinder head, even on a 351

2020 BITD Silver State 300 - #4535 Race Bronco recap

I just posted some video from the race however it looks like we forgot to turn on the camera at the start line so only have the last 80 miles or so from Pit 4 which is where we replaced the passenger side radius arm bushing. Also of note, this was a new camera mounting location and it didn't...
