    700R4/Atlas 4 speed update

Hi there. Hopefully I can shed some light on Scott's breakage for everybody. 1. At an average comp event about 3 HP D60s break a ring and pinion. So, it is not uncommon to see a r&p break in a comp rig. I know this from the other comp teams running Hi9's that used to run HP D60s. 2. There...

9", ARB and 4.86 gear clearance issues

This may be a little late but might help. The 31 spline ARB was changed so that the outside of it is the same size as the 35 spline ARB. If some one told you they didn't have to remove much material they were maybe used to the old style, smaller 28/31 spline ARB. There are a few pics on here...

    Replaceing started ring gear question

Heat up the ring gear itself with a torch. The old one will need to be knocked off as some of the heat will transfer into the flywheel. The new ring gear will expand enough to just fall on. Then just make sure it is seated against the lip on the flywheel as it cools and thats it.

check out this new front axle assembly from bcb

Hey all. Standard low pinion gears will only work in a standard low pinion gear case. High pinion gears (reverse spiral) will only fit into high pinion gear cases. This is true for Dana 44s and Dana 60s also. That is why we had to have custom gears and cases manufactured. Currie did the 8.8 deal...

    What's a 9" pumpkin worth

Thank you for considering our unit. Please forgive me if this is an improper post but I am only trying to make a suggestion. Trac tech (the makers of Detroit Lockers) has made a price increase on the first of the year and again two weeks ago. You may want to consider parting out your unit and...

    TrueHi9

elkr4me. Thanks for your purchase. We are receiving cases daily from the machine shop and should be caught up with the back orders by 4-19-05. Thanks for your patience!!! As far as the lift blocks go, that is the first hi9 we ever tested and it went into a customers/friends rig that just...

    9" housing help PLEASE!

The best way to tell the difference between the 8" and 9" is that you can use a 9/16 socket and extension on all ten bolts to remove the 3rd member on an 8". The 9" you need a wrench on two of them. Or is it a carrier bearing size issue?

    High pinion 9"? Hardtop?

Actually we have customers that have busted stock and aftermarket nodular low pinion 9's and haven't been able to break ours. We have sold a ton of these www.truehi9.com and haven't had one single failure with breakage, oiling or anything. Ours does run on the coast side in the rear but with the...

    High Pinion 9"

Just curious as to what your bad carrier bearings look like or what is causing that to happen. I really haven't seen carrier bearings go bad after that length of time.

    High Pinion 9"

It's actually a new casting with the pinion moved straight up. The side to side dimension of the pinion is retained so the driveshaft remains straight and the axle lengths stay the same.

    High Pinion 9"

Just to let you know since it wasn't addressed/corrected in your discussions about these. The oil fill plug/level is actually on the passenger side of the case and doesn't fill the tubes. The initial oil plug level pictures you guys saw were an aluminum prototype test unit. Great discussions and...
