    67 Drivetrain Advice needed

It all depends on how hard you want to wheel your truck, but another option is to put terralow gears in the D20. That one mod will get you where you want to be and still have a good gear ratio in high range for driving on the highway. upgrading the D20 output shaft is recommended as stated above.

    Explorer head identification

Yea I may have to tear into it to know for sure, but I used a set a few years ago and I sure was thinking the plugs came out at like 45 degrees.... these look like their sticking strait out, but I may be an illusion with all the junk in the way

    Explorer head identification

This engine is in a 98 model truck so I expected it to have "P" style heads, but upon inspection the engine looks like it has GT heads and not the "P" style. I always look at the angle of the plugs when I can't see any markings. Do these look like GT heads to you here that are much more...

    Bc bronco 23 gallon tank

These tanks were notorious for burping gas out when filling. Maybe they fixed it. Venting improvements were needed I assume.

    Power Steering dilema

Less turns the better IMO. I would get a converted f150 box if possible. They are much stronger than a stock box

    4R70 - np205 question

I seem to have trouble keeping the four gasketed areas from leaking. At least one of the four and sometimes a couple seem to seep a little. Also I don't want to pay $600 for the adapter. I am thinking of using the np208 since it is light weight and should bolt right up to the 4r70. I am thinking...

    4R70 - np205 question

I have owned a couple of the np 208 cases and never seen a leak of any kind, but I may have just been lucky. As far as the np 205 goes, I haven't owned any of those, so they may in fact be leak prone like the D20. I may just be unlucky but I have owned a half dozen of the D20s and they all...

    4R70 - np205 question

Maybe the word stock has different meanings to different folks. My use was relative to the look and height of the truck, not the drive train. As far as the use of the D20 goes, I was looking at avoiding the $500 + cost of the adapter and possibly find a case that would bolt right up to the...

    4R70 - np205 question

I am building a 77 bronco back stock and am considering using the 98 explorer I have for a donor for the engine and transmission. Someone had told me the NP205 transfer case will bolt right up to the 4r70. I will have to find a 205 if I go this route and I want to make sure I get the right one...
